Raw Vegan Dark Chocolate Cherry Balls

1/4 c Cashews or Almonds
1/2 c Dried Cherries (if you do not have dried cherries, Medjool Dates will work but you will end up with my Dark Chocolate Fudge Balls which are great, too!)
2 Tbsp Cocoa Powder (I used Hershey's Dark)
Optional: 1-2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
Optional: 2 Tbsp Agave or Maple Syrup, Stevia to taste, lucama powder, etc. if you like sweeter treats Yields: Approximately 22 Small-ish Balls

Steps
First, grind your cashews (or almonds) into a fine powder. The finer the better.

Add the Rest of the Ingredients (Dried Cherries, vanilla extract & sweetener if you're using it, and the Cocoa Powder) & grind again.

Sidenote & Tips:
*I have always felt that a 2:1 ratio of dates to nuts works best when making raw balls and treats.
*And as I have mentioned before, as a Vita-Mix user, you know when you have achieved the Perfect Raw Dough Consistency when the whole wad spins around like a tennis ball inside the canister. It can happen in a matter of a second, so watch closely and don't overblend. You will soon go from dough to chocolate puree.
